  1. CBIC Notifies Rate of Exchange of Foreign Currencies wef 08.04.2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the Notification No. 18/2022-Customs (N.T.), dated 17th March, 2022 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs hereby determines that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of the foreign currencies specified in Schedule I and Schedule II, into Indian currency or vice versa, shall, with effect from 8th April, 2022, relating to imported and export goods.

  1. Guidelines for Establishment of Digital Banking Units

In pursuance of announcements made in the Union Budget 2022-23, guidelines have been prepared for setting up of Digital Banking Units (DBUs) by commercial banks on the basis of recommendations of a Working Group formed by RBI which included representatives of banks and Indian Banks’ Association (IBA).

These guidelines are applicable to all Domestic Scheduled Commercial Banks (excluding Regional Rural Banks, Payments Banks and Local Area Banks).
These guidelines will come into effect from the date of issue of the Circular.

  1. Amendment in details of an authorized agency under Appendix 2E of FTP, 2015-2020

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-         2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes an amendment to the name of `Ernakulam Chamber of Commerce’, enlisted under Appendix 2E of FTP, 2015-20, to ‘Kerala Chamber of Commerce & Industry’ along with the contact details of the Chamber.

  1. CBDT amends Income Tax rule 2F & rule 8B & release new Form No. 5B & 5BA

CBDT amends Income Tax rule 2F, rule 8B and introduces new FORM NO. 5B – Application for notification of a zero-coupon bond under clause (48) of section 2 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 and Form No. 5BA – Certificate of an accountant under sub-rule (6) of rule 8B.

  1. Companies (Management and Administration) Amendment Rules, 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014, namely: –

  1. Short title and commencement. – (1) These rules may be called the Companies (Management and Administration) Amendment Rules, 2022. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
  2. In the Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014, in rule 14, after sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:- Ads by ADVERTISEMENT
    (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rules (1) and (2), the following particulars of the register or index or return in respect of the members of a company shall not be made available for any inspection under sub-section (2) or for taking extracts or copies under sub-section (3) of section 94, namely:- i. address or registered address (in case of a body corporate); ii. e-mail ID; iii. Unique Identification Number; iv. PAN Number.”.
